Yearly support to Sokabisi Junior Higher School Students
Since 2015, Maths Ed Ghana has annually supported between 40 and 60 final-year Junior High School (JHS) students through an intensive after-school and weekend tuition programme designed to prepare them for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The programme provides targeted booster classes and academic coaching in Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science and Social Studies, equipping students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to excel in their examinations.
To ensure effective learning, Maths Ed Ghana supplies teaching and learning materials, provides drinking water and snacks during the sessions, and engages qualified external tutors to facilitate the lessons. In addition, the organisation contributes to the cost of printing mock examination papers, giving students valuable opportunities to practice under examination conditions and identify areas for improvement before the BECE.
Through this initiative, Maths Ed Ghana continues to improve learning outcomes, strengthen students' examination readiness and increase their chances of academic success, particularly for learners from underserved communities.
