About Us

‘Without school education most children from poor homes have very little hope for the future’

Our dream

Denis and his wife Joyce are both natives of Northern Ghana and currently work at a highly successful secondary school in England. Denis teaches mathematics and his wife is a higher-level teaching assistant(HLTA) for Maths.

They have both seen first-hand the challenges of attending school in Northern Ghana with the barest minimum of resources. The couple set themselves a goal to establish a state of the art school in their humble village of Sokabisi-Bolga Ghana. In addition to being a site for providing education, the school will also be a community hub, including library services, sports, cultural, drama and art center.

They passionately believe that education is the key to eliminating poverty.

Denis and Joyce have bought land in their home village of Sokabisi, have completed the paper work and have been granted the building permit for the school building. They have also started the construction of the building with limited funds from their personal savings .

They need funding support to buy raw materials (cement, gravel, sand, paint, water etc) and to pay labour in other to complete the classrooms, offices, toilet facilities, water supply,.. and to complete the project.

The Charity Maths Ed Ghana is been set up to help support this dream.

We welcome support in all form from well wishers.
